Reede Construction

Objective: Reede Construction, based in Aberdeen, South Dakota, sought to create a modern, dynamic website that not only showcased their projects and capabilities but also served as a welcoming platform for job applicants and an efficient internal hub for their team. The primary goals were to enhance their online presence, streamline their hiring processes, and provide an in-house tool for communication and work management.

Approach: To meet these objectives, I focused on a video and content-centric design that would effectively highlight Reede Construction's work and job sites. Given the target demographic of users aged 30-45+, the website was designed to be extremely user-friendly with straightforward navigation. The design was modern, clean, and colorful, with an emphasis on visual elements such as videos and imagery to engage visitors.

Design Elements: The website’s aesthetic was intentionally modern and inviting, with a focus on showcasing Reede Construction's projects through high-quality videos and vibrant imagery. The design was clean and colorful, ensuring a visually appealing experience that also aligned with the company’s branding.

User Experience (UX): I ensured the website was fully mobile-responsive to cater to a younger audience while maintaining an organized and intuitive layout for in-house use. This approach allowed for seamless navigation across all devices and ensured that users could easily find the information they needed, whether they were job applicants or team members.

Technical Details: The website was built on Wix, a platform that allowed for easy updates and scalability. The design incorporated features that supported job applications and an internal communication system, streamlining Reede Construction’s operational processes.

Results & Impact: The new website successfully streamlined Reede Construction's hiring process, enabling the company to receive and process more applications online. The tailored notification system ensured that the right team members were alerted for specific job openings, expediting the recruitment process. Additionally, the in-house system facilitated more efficient handling of work quotes and internal communication.

Collaboration & Feedback: Throughout the project, I conducted interviews with the Reede Construction team to ensure the content was up-to-date and aligned with their goals. I also provided guidance on the importance of the website in their overall marketing strategy. The feedback from Reede Construction was overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the successful outcome of the project.
